Chorus – Socially recommended iPhone apps
Do you know Chorus?
Nay, not the refrain from a Christmas song you were forced to listen to while shopping for gifts and trying to keep from choking that obligatory kid crying down the lane.
It’s an iPhone app resembling a mobile social community, where you can talk about apps you’ve downloaded and get recommendations based on matching your favorite apps with those of your friends (you can tap into other social networks like Facebook etc.).
Now that actually sounds quite interesting. A torch helping me find my way through the “App Store Jungle” with its 100,000+ apps. Well, if I could download it and try it out, it would even be better! Currently neither the direct link from Techcrunch finds it, nor iTunes’ search functionality: http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/12/22/chorusmostpopularapps/
TC did publish Chorus’ list of their socially most recommended apps at the moment though:

Interesting. An egoshooter as most popular app. Ahh, so that was the guy next to me in the subway yelling “headshot!!” at his iPhone every few seconds!!
I’ll pass on that one.
