Speed guide: 10 short tips for becoming a Twitter pro

It’s easy to understand how Twitter works: A network of people exchanging brief messages with a maximum length of 140 characters. Here are ten quick tips – max. 140 characters – that’ll help you get there in no time:

  1. Understand the language: RT = Retweet (http://ow.ly/ViJ0); DM = Direct Message; @ is used infront of a name to directly speak to a person.

  8. Attract followers by sharing interesting/useful things, being active (daily) and linking up your profile everywhere (e.g. signatures).
